Announcement - Second international workshop on Arctic Ocean observation

Dear PAG members,

 

I am pleased to inform you that the second international workshop on Arctic Ocean observation will be held in Yokohama on Monday, October 27, 2025, as announced at the PAG 2025 spring meeting.

Following the first international workshop on Arctic Ocean observation (November 17–18, 2023, https://www.jamstec.go.jp/parv/e/event/workshop/ ), this second workshop aims to share updates on recent and planned Arctic Ocean observations, and to discuss and develop concrete observation plans for the ARV Mirai II (see below), with input and comments from participants.

Please note that the 8th International Symposium on Arctic Research (ISAR-8) will be held in Hachioji, Tokyo, from October 28–31, immediately following the workshop:

In addition, the PAG 2025 Fall Meeting and the 8th DBO Data Meeting will take place from November 3–5 at the Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI) in Songdo, Incheon.
